RAJASTHAN, the land haloed by history and tradition, the land of gaunt men and hardy women and warriors who braved through the ages wave after wave of invaders and hostile elements, is today a colourful land of pageantry and an ebullient celebration of life, manifested in its varied art forms and crafts that have attracted and impressed the most sophisticated in the civilised world.

pots.jpg (17346 bytes)WE welcome you to this CRAFT FAIR through which we have endeavoured to expose some of the many aspects of Rajasthani arts and crafts which actually reflect the very colourful and melodious life of this Region.

THE selection of AJMER as the venue for this exhibition is significant because Ajmer is a blend of history, tradition and modernity. It is a centre of excellence in the field of Education and has a religious ambience unique to it. The only BRAHMA temple in india is located on the outskirts of Ajmer, and the Dargah of great Sufi Saint is right in the middle of this town. Both places attract lakhs of visitors every year from all over.
